We've prayed for this day for a long time, trusting the Lord to bring a Godly man into Amy's life. We didn't know that he was already in her life and the Lord would begin to mend their hearts together over the past year. What a blessing it has been to watch the Lord work on Chris, then on Amy, and to see His plans all unfold in His perfect timing. Today we drove down to Midland to Chris' parents' house to wait the arrival of the newly engaged couple. Chris proposed to Amy in a park in Lamesa that was their meeting place while they dated. They then continued on to Midland and stopped by his parents' house to tell them the news. To Amy's surprise, the house was full of her family and friends all there to join in on the celebration. It was wonderful seeing them walk in together and seeing the joy on Amy's face. She was SO surprised. The evening was so great and full of laughter and fun. It was a night to remember. We all look forward to another night to remember on June 29, 2013 when the wedding will take place! Glory to God. He is amazing.
