Sundown has a parade each year in August to celebrate oil patch days. We all line Main Street and watch the fire trucks, police cars, big oil rigs, horses, tractors, go karts, bikes, etc. make their way down the street throwing candy to the kids. This parade doesn't hold a candle to the Gruver 4th of July parade, but we still love it. After the parade, we enjoy food in the park and then fireworks that night. Sundown does an excellent job at the fireworks! It gets better and longer every year!
