We had a cookout/celebration for Amy today because she is leaving for Africa for 5 weeks. She is serving our Lord in the most incredible way by using her gifts the Lord has given her and going to teach at an orphanage/school. She will try to start a reading program at the school and set up specific intervention plans for each student there. The Lord had her teaching reading here in the states and we now see His plan for doing that--she was meant to use that knowledge to impact the African kids she will meet this summer. This brief encounter with Amy and the reading plan she will bring to this school will change these kids' lives forever. Praise the Lord! What a mighty God we serve!
We will miss Amy so much. But we are willing to sacrifice our Summer with her to see that the Lord's will is done and to be a part of praying for these kids to come to know Him more! We love you Amy!
